Internet poker site 888Poker has announced that they are taking up the practice of banning a technique used by professional poker players who prey on less experienced players.
The practice, which is called "bum hunting" or "table camping", will be banned by 888Poker with security looking out for potential predators and taking action when it is uncovered.
Bum Hunting has been outlawed by many poker sites, who have taken steps to protect more casual players in the process.
Commenting on the issue an 888Poker Rep said, “We reserve the right, at our discretion, to take action against players 'sitting out’ for excessive periods of time. Repeated abusers of the 'Sit out’ feature may be restricted from participating in our poker games either temporarily or indefinitely.”
