Three internet gambling cafes operating in the state of Florida were shut down by authorities this week after operating in violation of the state's anti-gambling laws.
The cafes were operating in the counties of Hernando and Brookesville counties and were shut down following raids by sheriffs. Details regarding the arrests of individuals involved or equipment confiscated was not available as of press time.
Florida recently passed laws outlawing the cafes after a scam involving the businesses was uncovered, taking down a prominent politician in the process.
