Oklahoma Bar Owner Arrested For Sportsbetting Crimes

A 61 year old Oklahoma City bar owner was arrested last week for running an online sportsbetting ring, using her bar to take in and pay out money in the scheme.

Connie Sue Kelley was charged with allowing her business to be used for commercial gambling, a misdemeanor. Her boyfriend Bernard Edward Horrigan was charged with felony commercial gambling.

The two were arrested after police conducted a sting operation conducted by the authorities. The raid began with an undercover agent setting up an online sportsbetting account with Horrigan. After the bets were placed, the officer was directed to the bar to pay debts.

The sting took place between February and August of this year.
