US based players who have waited for more than two years to get money owed to them by poker giant Full Tilt Poker will finally get reprieve, as the independent administrator tasked with handling the payments announced it will begin payouts next week.
Administrator Garden City Group announced that it will begin handling the repayment process on September 16th. Players can officially request repayment by submitting a Petition for Remission through the website FullTiltPokerClaims.com.
Garden City Group was given the contract to facilitate payments by the US Department of Justice, who settled the case with Rational Group, who in turn acquired Full Tilt.
Claims for refunds will be taken for two months and will then begin to be disbursed.
The move comes after lengthy delays by the administrator, who has struggled with getting the infrastructure for the payments figured out. European players owed money by the group were paid out months ago, and Full Tilt has resumed operations in legal online poker markets.

its nice to see everyone will finally get there money. its just a shame that they had to wait for so long!
Wow! They finally got around to paying out!! I got my $400 like a year ago. A majority of the cash was from US players so i wonder if the tax dept will get a chunk or the players will get a big fat BILL for back taxes on the cash =o
now that there paying out are they going to start running full time again?
They have been up and running for a while now. I had my account reinstated with its old balance (about $120) and have played there a few times since. But of course I'm not American. They won't allow Americans to resume playing until or if they set up in a licensed state or jurisdiction.

Which is likely to happen on a state-by-state basis. Full Tilt's owners The Rational Group are good with the US government now, and are trying to establish a foothold in regulated areas. They reportedly are getting set to offer services in New Jersey.
That will likely be the only way you will see Full Tilt come back.
