US based gambling rivals Wynn Resorts and Caesars will reportedly team up to offer online betting services in New Jersey.
The two groups are rumored to be teaming up to allow Wynn to have a presence in the Garden State. Under the state's online gambling law, firms offering online betting services must have their gaming servers in an Atlantic City casino to be permitted to offer action. Wynn does not currently own a land casino in Altantic City, and will therefore would be putting its services in one of Caesars' properties.
No official comment has been made by Caesars or Wynn, but 888 Holdings Chief Operating Officer Itai Frieberger told financial publication Bloomberg that: “As the online business rolls out on a state-by-state basis, everyone will need to partner with someone. You’ll find very strong partnerships in some cases with competitors in order to get a license.”
“We could have 10 different brands operating in the U.S. by the end of the year."
888 Holdings is working with both Wynn Resorts and Caesars Entertainment to develop online betting products for the American market.
