Police In Cyprus Conduct Gaming Bust

Police in Cyprus have announced that they have carried out a gambling raid in Livadhia, arresting three people and seizing sixteen computers in the process.

In addition to the arrests and computers, more than €1,000 was seized by authorities.

The three people arrested in the raid were due in court Thursday and will be charged with running an illegal online gambling facility. The defendants include a Cypriot man and woman as well as Bulgarian woman.

Police said that the raid was conducted in order to clamp down on internet gambling in Larnaca and Livadhia.
