UK based betting giants Ladbrokes and SBOBet have announced that they have inked deals with English football teams, allowing both firms to display their logos on player shirts.
Ladbrokes' deal is with Notts County Football Club, and will see the group's logo on the "Magpies" shirt for its Capital One Cup match against Premier League club Liverpool.
Commenting on the deal Notts County Football Club Chairman Ray Trew said, “We have enjoyed some fantastic relationships with high profile national brands during my time here at Notts County and I am delighted to see that extend further still with the addition of Ladbrokes for this game against Liverpool."
SBOBet also got in on the sponsorship activity, announcing that it has become Southampton Football Club's Official Asian Betting Partner.
Commenting on the deal SBOBet Executive Director Bill Mummery said, "The English Premier League is viewed in over two hundred countries worldwide with an estimated audience of five billion, so the exposure is enormous. We also look forward to working with the Saints Foundation."
Southampton Football Club Chief Commercial Officer Dominic Fawcett added, "We look forward to working together, and also building our supporter base in the Asia region."
