Internet poker information site Pokerfuse is reporting that officials handling the Full Tilt Poker repayment claims process will announce a date for which repayments will begin for Americans.
Administrators for The Garden City Group spoke out to Pokerfuse, saying: “The claims process will begin shortly. At this time we cannot provide a specific date, but expect to be able to provide a launch date by the end of this week."
The news comes shortly after the Garden City Group announced that the review period was finished and that the claims process would begin shortly.
The firm was put into its current position in March by the US Department of Justice in order to oversee player repayments from Full Tilt Poker, which was shuttered by the government on April 15, 2011. Full Tilt was then purchased by The Rational Group, who struck a deal with the US government which resulted in the repayment fund being created.
