Bulgaria Removes Some Sites From Blacklist

The Bulgarian Gambling Commission has removed three websites from its blacklist, noting that the sites are compliant with its regulations.

The sites removed from the blacklist are Bet7days.com, PartyPoker and Tobet.com, who likely got removed from the blacklist by applying for licensing through the country's regulator.

The move comes after much controversy regarding the blacklisting the moves by the Bulgarian regulator to implement it.

The betting sites were initially blocked a few months back when the Bulgarian regulator accused the sites of operating without the required licenses. The problem with the blockade was that the country's government had not yet implemented the laws regarding gaming regulation and licensing, causing confusion among operators and lawmakers alike.

The confusion and bumbling regarding the issue caused the Commission's head Ivan Enicherov to be replaced by current head Ognemir Mitev.
