Internet wagering brand Bodog has announced that it has inked a deal with Arsenal F.C. which will see it become the club's Official Asian Betting Partner.
The deal is good for three seasons and reportedly was the result of a multi-million pound consideration paid by Bodog.
As part of the deal Bodog will be given the ability to take advantage of exclusive marketing promotions with the club, use Arsenal's first team players for promotions, and use Arsenal's database to tailor specific deals for Asian punters.
Commenting on the deal Bodog Marketing Director Izhar Biran said, “The Premier League’s popularity in Asia is well documented and some clubs have been quicker than others to realize that potential. Arsenal has been particularly pro-active in the region for a number of years and the recent tour only serves to highlight that point. The trust and loyalty both Arsenal and the Premier League stand for makes this the perfect partnership to continue the phenomenal growth of the Bodog brand in Asia.”
Arsenal Head of Global Partnerships Vinai Venkatesham said, “Our tours give our fans beyond the UK a great opportunity to see the team in action, and this Asian tour was no different with our first-team squad playing in front of hundreds of thousands of passionate supporters. As our fan base in Asia continues to grow rapidly, working in partnership with companies like Bodog who have long-term roots in the region, provides a strong platform to further engage with Arsenal fans in Asia.”
