William Hill To Launch Italian Poker Product

UK gambling firm William Hill plc has announced that it is set to launch an Italian online poker site which will be part of the Italian iPoker Network and powered by Playtech.

William Hill has met with pretty good success in the regulated Italian market, with its casino garnering 7% of the market share and sportsbook generating 3.65% market share.

William Hill will face stiff competition in Italy, as firms such as PokerStars and other big name brands are already in place. But an established poker brand such as the iPoker Network will help, as the framework has already secured 16% of the country's online poker market.
