BSkyB betting brand Sky Betting and Gaming has announced that it has released its newest wave of financial numbers, noting a jump in revenues for the perioid.

The firm's revenues reached £7.2 billion for the fiscal year, which was an increase of 7%. Pre tax profits for the year amounted to £1.26 billion, up 6% from the year before.

The company stated that they believe the numbers were due in part to increased household spending. Sky Bet's active customer base reached more than 1 million, with half of that number being recruited in the last year.

Commenting on the results SkyBet Managing Director Richard Flint said, “We’ve had a really good year and a big driver for that growth is betting on mobile. We updated it in the spring to make it faster and include more Sky content.”
