A few days after having its latest attempt to acquire The Atlantic Club Hotel rejected by a New Jersey court, online poker giant The Rational Group announced that it has signed a deal with Resorts Casino Hotel to offer internet poker.

The Rational Group is the poker firm behind such popular online poker brands as Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars. Resorts Casino Hotel is long established in the coastal gaming town as it was the first casino to launch in Atlantic City.

Commenting on the deal Rational Group CEO Mark Scheinberg said, "Resorts is a fantastic partner for us and we are looking forward to launch PokerStars in the U.S. in association with the other quality brands Resorts has brought to Atlantic City. We are very happy to invest in New Jersey and we are excited about building a successful relationship with Resorts."

Resorts Company Chairman Morris Bailey added: "This is another blue chip partner for Resorts to complete a wonderful series of brands - Mohegan Sun, Margaritaville and now PokerStars."
