Internet wagering destination Mr. Green has announced that it has adopted a customer identification tool provided by software firm Jumio.

The new product will allow for punters to use their cameras through their smartphone or computer webcam to verify their identities, rather than using sensitive ID cards such as drivers licenses or credit cards.

Commenting on the launch Mr. Green Head of Payments and Fraud Luke Gauci said, “At Mr Green we always strive to offer the best customer experience and a high level of service at all times. Using Jumio to capture and validate customer identity documents provides a swifter, more seamless payout process which, of course, is something that our discerning customers expect."

Jumio Director Bjorn Evers added: “Mr Green is one of the latest companies to bring our technology into play to use compliance as a differentiator. By using Jumio, eGaming operators can not only meet know-your-customer compliance requirements but also improve the customer experience."
