Italian Police Break Up Online Gambling Ring

Police in Italy conducted a massive illegal online gambling sting last week in Naples, bringing down several online gambling sites and impacting the Casalesi crime family.

The sting, which was dubbed "Op Jeopardy" brought down at least five online betting sites and caused 55 people to be arrested. Additionally, assets such as real estate, vehicles, and bank accounts were seized, which had a value of around €450 million.

Those arrested will face a string of charges that include illegal gambling, extortion, money laundering, conspiracy and fraud.

The sites taken down in the sting include: EuropaGranCasino.com, JogoBrasil.com, DollaroCasino.com, GranBett.com and DollaroBett.com.
