Joe Barton Speaks Out On Federal Online Poker

This story was published more than 10 years ago.

Texas Republican Congressman Joe Barton spoke out about his latest attempt to pass an online poker bill, saying that legislation is a matter of "when", not "if".

Barton spoke about his bill with gambling group "Gambling Compliance", who posted the interview on its YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcAKCOdrCUg&feature=player_embedded

It is unknown just what the chances are that Barton's poker bill will make it through the federal legislature. New York Congressman Peter King has already introduced an online gambling bill and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is working on a similar measure, although the latter said he doesn't think any such measure will become law.
