Internet wagering giant 32Red has announced that it has signed a deal with Crawley Town Football Club which will see the casino becoming the club's shirt sponsor for the next two years.
As part of the deal, Crawley Town FC's adult shirts will be adorned with 32Red's logo. The sponsorship does not apply to children's kits though, as the betting firm is against advertising toward children.
Commenting on the deal 32Red Head of Marketing Mark Quayle said, "We are delighted to support Crawley Town as they look ahead to their second season in League One. Our previous football sponsorships have been a great success. We sponsored Aston Villa and watched them climb the Premier League table and we were lucky enough to sponsor Swansea City and share their success when promoted to the top flight."
“We’re looking to extend our reach to the roots of football and we’re thrilled to announce our second shirt sponsorship in the Football League this week. We’re confident that Crawley has what it takes to make the sponsorship a success for both parties and hope the trend of 32Red being a ‘lucky sponsor’ continues.”
Crawley Town Commercial Manager Ewan Dunlop also commented, saying: “This is a tremendous deal for the football club. We have attracted an internationally renowned company with a well-known brand who have an excellent track record of working with football clubs."
Crawley Town FC currently plays in England's Football League One, which is the third pro tier of English football leagues. The club was established in 1896 and plays at Broadfield Stadium, which has a maximum capacity of just under 6,000 people.
