Asian based internet betting site 138.co has announced that it has signed a deal with Watford FC, which will see the Xela Holdings owned site becoming the club's shirt sponsor.
As part of the deal, 138.com will be the team's shirt sponsor for the upcoming 2013/2014 season. The popular video title "Football Manager Brand" which is produced by SEGA will move to the the back of the shirt and will be adorned above the player name.
Commenting on the deal Watford FC CEO Scott Duxbury said, “I would like to warmly welcome 138.com into the Watford FC family as the club’s principal partner for the 2013/14 season. “To have a global brand again associated with Watford FC is a tribute to the progress the club has made this year. “138.com is an ambitious brand and we are an ambitious football club. We are very pleased to have concluded this exciting partnership and look forward to working together in the future.”
Xela Holdings CEO Garth Kimber added, “We are delighted to be in partnership with such an ambitious club and look forward to both parties achieving success over the coming seasons."
Founded in 1881 and based in Hertfordshire, Watford FC plays in England's Football League Championship. The league is England's second highest level of professional football, beaten out only by the lofty Premier League.
