Delaware Selects 888, Scientific Games, And Williams As Its Suppliers

This story was published more than 11 years ago.

The state of Delaware has selected gaming software developers Scientific Games, Williams Interactive and 888 a its preferred gaming suppliers for its intrastate online gambling network.

Delaware had submitted a Request for Proposals only two months ago, and the winning suppliers all conducted a joint application. Williams and 888 will work together in order to offer 888's poker product to state residents, while Scientific Games and Williams will offer other casino games. The latter two firms are currently working on finalizing terms of a merge.

The "First State" reported that 14 different gaming firms applied for the contract.

2013 is turning out to be quite the year for 888 and WMS in the U.S., as earlier this year the duo were awarded internet poker licenses by the State of Nevada. If the two firms can get a license in New Jersey, they will have licenses in every currently licensed state.
