A week after internet sweepstakes betting cafes were outlawed in Florida, the World Poker Tour Club has decided to pull out of the Sunshine State in order to protect itself.

WPT Club has decided to block Florida players who participated in the firm's sweepstakes games. The poker giant is apparently concerned with the way that the law is written, thinking that the company could be put at risk for legal action as it could technically be considered illegal.

Founded in 2002, the World Poker Tour has become famous for its televised poker tournaments as well as subscription based online play system that allows for punters to play in monthly tournaments worth $100,000 in cash and prizes.
