The Lotteries and Gaming Authority in Malta has suspended the gaming license of Casino di Venezia, a land based casino on the island.

The LGA told the Times of Malta newspaper that the casino's gaming license was suspended due to what is being called "non compliance with its license conditions".

The move puts 67 jobs at jeopardy, although the island's Secretary of Competitiveness said that they were working with the casino's management as well as the General Workers' Union to resolve the issue over the previous weeks. However, there was no way for the issue to be overcome, and the casino's non-compliance forced the suspension.
