The Asian island of Macau saw its gaming revenues in March rise by 25.4% to 31.34 billion patacas, an encouraging sign for the world's largest gambling market.

The numbers are yet another win for the former Portuguese colony, who also announced that the market brought in more than $38 billion USD of revenues in 2012.

Analysts forecasted a haul of 30.5 billion patacas for the month of March, which was exceeded due to expanding casinos, who are adding more facilities and wooing in wealthy VIP gamblers.
