UK Gambling Commission Suspends Cricket Bet License

This story was published more than 10 years ago.

The UK Gambling Commission has announced that it has suspended the gaming license of Cricket Bet Limited while it is in the process of being reviewed pursuant to sections 116 and 118 of the Gambling Act of 2005.

The suspension of the site cricketbetlive.co.uk is effective until March 21st, 2013, however a notice on the company site states that customer withdrawals are still able to be processed as usual. Cricketbet was founded in 199 by the Australian father/son team of Phillip and Craig Nott. The company has since expanded offices to London and currently holds licenses in both the UK and its native Australia.

It is thought that the suspension and review have to deal with some suspect remote betting activities.
