Two Merge Poker Skins Close Their Doors

This story was published more than 11 years ago.

Internet poker network Merge has lost two more skins as poker sites Overbet and Iron Duke have announced that they will be closing their doors.

Overbet sent out notifications that the skin had been purchased by a third party and that their account balances were safe, but that the site was closing its doors. The notice went on to urge players to sign on with other Merge poker skins.

All player VIP points and levels are said not to transfer to the new sites, which is likely to cause quite a rub among dedicated players.

Iron Duke did not give any reasoning for the closure, but did also recommend that customers transfer to different poker skins such as Carbon Poker, Sportsbook, and PlayersOnly.

The departures are the latest in a series of skins who have decided to leave the Merge Poker Network. Last December saw the dropping of three skins; Hero Poker, RPM, and Black Chip.
