Internet betting provider Microgaming is celebrating its tenth year of offering internet poker services to punters throughout the globe.
Before it was known as the Microgaming Poker Network the poker product was originally branded Prima Poker. Launched in March of 2003, Prima Poker offered its betting services to some of online gambling's biggest brands and was dealing millions of hands every day.
Other highlights for Microgaming's Poker Network include:
Being the first poker provider to launch a mobile Android poker client
Being the first poker network to offer Survivor Tournaments
Being the first to offer anonymous tables, giving casual players a better chance against poker pros.
Commenting on the milestone Microgaming's Head of Network Games Lydia Melton said: “We’ve seen so many changes on the network and in the industry in the last ten years - the rise of regulated markets and loss of other markets, software innovation and nearly five billion hands dealt at our tables. I’m really excited about what could happen in the next ten years.”
Currently Microgaming's Poker Network services some of the largest internet gambling brands. These brands include Stan James, Unibet, 32Red, Betsson, and Paf.
Adding an outside voice to the anniversary, 32Red CEO Ed Ware said: “We continue to be very pleased with the poker platform provided by Microgaming and have been part of their poker network since 2003. MPN has consistently adapted to the online poker environment throughout the years and is today well positioned to continue to provide a successful poker solution.”
