Internet poker Network Merge has reportedly lowered the high stakes limits on its virtual tables, according to various poker information websites.

Merge's move to lower the highest stakes is part of a wave of operators who have decided to go in a more recreational direction, ensuring that the bankrolls of casual players will last longer.

The adopted changes are part of a recent software upgrade by Merge and span several of the network's poker games.
