PokerStars Cribbean Adventure Draws Large Crowd

The 2013 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure has gotten off to a strong start, drawing 987 players in the first two days of the tournament being held at the Atlantis Resort in Nassau.

The tournament is hosting big poker names such as Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, and Daniel Negreanu along with a few celebrities such as Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps.

With the large number of buy-ins, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure will have a prize pool of $9.57 million. Players hoping to finish in the money will have to place in the last 144 spots. The tournament's winner will bring home roughly $1.86 million.

Of the original 987 contestants, roughly 500 have survived to day two. Casino Listings will update this story as more developments break.
