Hundreds Of Vietnamese Police Conduct Gambling Raids

This story was published more than 10 years ago.

Hundreds of Vietnamese police officers were involved in several internet gambling raids after conducting a year long investigation into the large illegal betting ring.

Even with all of the officers, only seven people were arrested in the raids of the illegal firm that processed tens of millions of dollars in bets through the internet.

Police claim that the betting ring offered sports bets through football, tennis, and horse racing throughout the entire country. Money that was taken in by the ring was then transferred to offshore bank accounts where they were held for safe keeping.

Not all of the suspects have been apprehended at this point, but police claim the hunt will continue.
