International gaming giant MGM Resorts International has been awarded an e-Gaming license by the state of Nevada, allowing the company to offer internet poker within the Silver State.
The announcement comes shortly before MGM is set to launch a free play website that it has developed in conjunction with internet gaming giant bwin.party digital entertainment plc. The site will reportedly run alongside the company's myVEGAS website.
Also approved for internet poker licenses in Nevada were Z4 Poker, LLC and CAMS, LLC.
In addition to the three companies listed, the companies approved for a Nevada e-Gaming license are: Boyd Gaming, Station Casinos LLC and the Fertitta Ultimate Gaming\Ultimate Poker brand, South Point Poker, Global Cash Access Holdings, Bally Technologies, the Golden Nugget, WMS Industries, NetEffect Networks, International Game Technology, Monarch Interactive, PokerTrip Enterprises, and SHFL Entertainment (formerly ShuffleMaster).
