The United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York has filed an update, stating that it is evaluating applicants to act as the Claims Administrator for the Full Tilt Poker case, and expects work to begin on the case in January of 2013.

The firm that wins the application process will be entrusted with the task of repaying funds seized by the federal government on Black Friday of last year to many American players. Currently about $184 million is waiting to be distributed to affected players.

The statement says that it hopes to have the process finalized and have work begin on repaying claims by January of 2013, although no set timeline was revealed.
