Golden Nugget, Fertitta Awarded Nevada Online Poker Licenses

The Nevada Gaming Commission awarded two online poker licenses to Fertitta Interactive and the Golden Nugget Casino.

With the licensing of the two companies, the total of licensed operators and service providers has grown to twelve. In addition to the Golden Nugget and Fertitta Interactive, licensed companies include: South Point Poker, Global Cash Access Holdings, Bally Technologies, SHFL Entertainment (formerly Shuffle Master), American Casino and Entertainment Properties, PokerTrip Enterprises and NetEffect Networks, all of Las Vegas; International Game Technology and Monarch Interactive of Reno; and WMS Industries of Waukegan, Illinois.

More than 20 other gaming firms are understood to have licensing applications pending.
