Gambler Denied Winnings of 77,000 Euros At Balzac Casino

This story was published more than 11 years ago.

A punter who won €77,000 at Balzac Casino is claiming that his account has been seized by the casino's management and seemingly has no desire to communicate with anyone regarding the issue.

The player amassed the large balance while playing at the casino and winning €32,000 in one jackpot, but later had his balance seized by the Rival powered casino's management. The casino has been open since 2011 and is licensed in the Netherland Antilles.

Unable to get any effective response from Balzac, the punter turned to online gambling site Casinomeister whose manager agreed to work as a mediator between the player and the casino.

That manager spoke out on the website regarding the issue, saying: "We submitted the details to the casino several times without reply. When they were warned that the next step would be a public statement regarding their mismanagement of the player's case they finally responded saying: 'Very sorry, can't imagine what happened to your previous emails'."

"In this response they said 'we have not received all the requested documents' and that they had no problem paying the player once those documents -- which they described in detail -- were received."

"I passed this on to the player, within a week he had provided them to the casino and ... nothing, no response at all."

"For the next several weeks I tried time and again to get a statement from the casino regarding the status of the player's payments: nothing."

"Finally the player reported that the casino had simply removed the player's current balance -- including a recent deposit -- and left the account at zero."

"Warning: Balzac Casino is confiscating player winnings and deposits without warning or explanation, ignoring player complaints."

Ok, I am going to say this even though it is likely inappropriate.

Balzac sounds like Ball Sack. 🍕

Lol, 'Slim, inappropriate or not, I cannot say I blame you for saying that. I have to agree.

Wow, that is just plain ROTTEN. And the sad part is it is almost impossible to get word out to people who will continue to deposit and have THEIR funds disappear, too.

Another warning of how VERY careful we have to be BEFORE depositing our funds anywhere.

Not surprised. Most of those Rival "white label" casinos are undercapitalised and run by people who are basically affiliates of Rival themselves. Loads of them have gone bust in the past 2 years and have been handed back to Rival to run them in house. There are only a handful of ones I would risk my money at - Slots Capital or Box24 Casino spring to mind.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.
