September was another rough month for casinos in Atlantic City, as almost every casino in the coastal town showed a decline in revenues when compared to the same month in 2011.

City wide, Atlantic City casinos recorded a 6.3% drop in revenues to $276 million, this despite having an additional weekend in which to record revenues.

The numbers are down from August's numbers, which showed a 12.6% jump over the same period last year. Slot wins for the casinos dropped 3.2% to $187.4 million, and table game wins dropped 13.5% to $77.6 million.

For the year, the New Jersey gambling city is down 4.8% over the same period in 2011 to $2.4 billion in revenues.
