U.S. Olympic swimming legend Michael Phelps took home $100,000 this past week while playing Texas Hold'em at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas.
Phelps was playing in Sin City following a vacation in the Maldives, gossip website TMZ.com was reporting. The holder of 22 medals (18 gold) recently announced his retirement from competitive swimming, and has a keen interest in poker.
Previously Phelps has competed with several professional poker players in various events, playing with the likes of Doyle Brunson.
With all of his success in the pool, seeing Phelps at the felt begs the question: Is this a new potential career for the Olympic great?
