Interwetten's Spanish operation has announced that it has signed a shirt sponsorship deal with Sevilla FC shortly after it was awarded an operators license from Spanish authorities.
As part of the deal, Interwetten's name will be stitched into the front of the team's shirts, but only until Sevilla closes a deal with a brand from another industry.
Formerly, Interwetten's previous Spanish brand Interpuestas served as a shirt sponsor for Sevilla FC.
Commenting on the deal, Sevilla FC President José María Del Nido said: "For Sevilla FC it is extremely important to rely on sponsors with such an influence as Interwetten has in a rising industry as the sport betting. We are also aware of the great effort made by Interwetten in order to become one of the authorized brands to be able to operate in our country, once the industry has been regulated by the Spanish Government. Therefore, it is even more valuable, if that's possible, that the trade relations started seasons ago had now consolidated with this sponsorship for the new season."
