Internet Gambling Bust In Cambodia

Law enforcement authorities announced that they have arrested 114 Indonesian nationals this week on charges of running an illegal online gambling ring.

The betting ring allegedly was taking bets on football and included 90 men and 24 women who were operating out of residences in Cambodia's capital city of Phnom Penh.

Cambodian Interior Ministry representative Chhay Sinarith said that the group has been charged for taking bets on football matches and taking proceeds through internet based banking accounts.
