Police in Jakarta, Indonesia arrested two more men for gambling and operating an illegal online gambling website, increasing the amount of people detained as police try to combat illegal gambling.

“We arrested two suspects, Fran Diko, known as Asen, and Joeng Hock, alias Apen, on September 14 in Tambora, West Jakarta,” Jakarta Police Flying Squad Chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Herry Heryawan said.

Herry reported that the men operated three football betting websites for more than a year while also participating in online gambling. In order for punters to gamble on the sites they first had to deposit money into the suspect's personal bank accounts.

The raid resulted in the seizure of three laptops, three cell phones, two ATM cards, and bank account books.

“The two are charged with Article 303 of the Criminal Code on gambling,” Herry said.
