Internet betting exchange Betfair has announced that it is expanding its relationship with wagering software developer Playtech to include a renewal of a contract for casino services as well as the launch of bingo software and the option to allow Betfair to use Playtech's poker network.
All of the offered products will be available through Betfair's website and mobile portal. The two companies will work to launch a licensed poker product in Spain by the end of the current fiscal year.
Commenting on the deal Betfair Group Operations Director Ian Chuter said: “Betfair has built a strong relationship with Playtech over a number of years and after a full evaluation of the available options, they were the logical choice for providing us with what we now need."
“This deal allows us to offer a compliant poker solution in markets where historically we have not been able to and the wider agreement is further evidence of how serious we are in providing our customers with a high quality one-stop shop for all their betting needs.”
Playtech and Betfair have had a relationship since Playtech began providing the betting exchange with casino games in 2009.
