Atlantic City Has Positive August

New Jersey's largest gambling city saw a positive month of August as Atlantic City saw its revenues jump 12.6% over the same period last year, although comparisons may be skewed due to last year's appearance of Hurricane Irene.

For the month, Atlantic City's 12 casinos brought in $226.1 million in slot revenue, up 16.8% from the same period last year. Table games also generated $87.8 million, up 3.3% from the same time last year.
