Bwin owned internet poker site Party Poker has announced that it is getting into the high speed poker market which has become very popular over the last few years.

Party Poker's brand name for the game is "Fast Forward", and is currently in a free play beta test mode. The company plans to launch the game for real money play as soon as it is ready to go, which could be in as little as two weeks.

High speed poker was originally introduced by Full Tilt Poker in 2010 with their innovative Rush Poker. Other companies quickly followed suit, with PokerStars introducing Zoom Poker, Playtech offering Speed Hold'em, and Microgaming's Blaze Poker.

The game has helped stem the losses of traffic that many poker sites have seen since the events of Black Friday.
