Internet poker professional Vikor "Isildur1" Blom and online poker giant PokerStars have announced that they have decided to part ways, with both parties ending their sponsorship deal amicably.

PokerStars Communications Chief Eric Hollreiser told PokerNews that the firm and Blom had mutually agreed not to renew their expiring sponsorship deal. "In his short time as a poker player, Viktor has played against the biggest names in poker at the highest stakes in the toughest games," Hollreiser said. "It’s hard to recall a player who has kept the poker world so riveted at such an early stage of his career. We’ll be watching with great interest and we wish him nothing but success."

Speaking about the ending of the deal, Blom said: “I’ve enjoyed my time as a Team Pro and I wish everyone at PokerStars the best."

Blom was picked up by PokerStars in 2011. He won 11 out of 14 of his matches in the PokerStars SuperStar Showdown, taking home more than $1 million in the process. He also took the 2012 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure High Roller title, where he took $1,254,000 in prize money.
