Questions have been swirling around the liquidation of the Purple Lounge Casino, as a lack of communications from the casino's parent company Media Corp plc have left players guessing as to their fate.
Late last week it was announced that high end financial firm Baker Tilly of London had been appointed by Media Corp as the liquidating firm of Purple Lounge. However, when players with positive balances began submitting claims for reimbursement, they were told that players are not listed on the creditor list that Media Corp provided.
One Purple Lounge customer stated that when he spoke to Baker Tilly that he was told that "player creditors are creditors of Purple Lounge (Malta) Limited, a Malta registered company" and "Baker Tilly Restructuring and Recovery LLP, is not instructed in respect of any other company in the group".
For its part, Media Corp has not explained how it plans to pay back Purple Lounge customers, and has issued very little word on the issue as a whole.
