Cryptologic Releases Three New Games, "Monte Cristo", "Captain Nemo", And "Fire Flies"

Internet wagering software developer Cryptologic has announced the release of three new internet wagering games with the release of "Monte Cristo", "Captain Nemo", and "Fire Flies".

Monte Cristo is a 5 reel slot that mixes traditional reel pullers with a casual twist. Gameplay features ball strikes that open doors and create pathways to release the imprisoned Count and discover treasures.

Captain Nemo is a 25 payline, 5 reel video skit that is tied to a major progressive jackpot worth more than £750,000. The game promises to take players under the sea with Captain Nemo and the submarine Nautilus as they journey for prizes.

Fire Flies is a 5 reel, 25 payline slot that pits players on a camping trip wherein they experience wilds, bears, and raccoons. The game also offers players a bonus round where players win free games.

Commenting on the trio of releases Cryptologic VP of Operations Iam Price said: "These new games will complement our popular suite of casino games and ensure Cryptologic remains the company of choice for online gaming brands."

I have tried them all. None of them really excited me though. Fire Flies gave me a free spins round where I re-triggered free spins once and still only won all of $2.70 on a 50c bet size.

On Captain Nemo I hit the bonus round. You get to choose positions on a sonar screen and it reveals either a prize, and advance symbol or a mine symbol. 3 mines and your round is over, while 3 advance symbols mean you must go to a new level (I didn't get 3 so I don't know). I won about $7 on a 40c bet size so no major wins there either.

You can try both of those on our Cryptologic free games page:

Monte Cristo is just awful. At first glance its like some strange hybrid between an arcade game and pachinko. A ball shoots out and bounces around the screen, breaking bricks like a game of Arkanoid. You win prizes based on whatever bricks are broken. But if the ball hits a wrong brick or too many bricks it explodes and your game is over. The problem is you have absolutely no choice as to where the ball is aimed or shot. You just press play and hope it bounces somewhere good. Boring!
