Wynn Resorts Limited has become the latest gambling firm to apply for an online poker license through the state of Nevada.

With the application of Wynn, Nevada now counts 30 different operators who have applied for an e-Gaming license. Late last week the Nevada Gaming Control Board recommended the approval of applications by gambling giants Bally Technology, William Hill plc, and International Game Technology.

Wynn Resorts has dipped its toes into online poker in the past, with reports that Steve Wynn was negotiating with PokerStars before the events of Black Friday. Other rumors have been swirling that Wynn is looking to strike a deal with Zynga, who has developed a popular free online poker game for Facebook.

Other recent applicants for a Nevada online poker license include WHG Ltd., LV Gaming Ventures LLC, Global Cash Access, Z4 Poker LLC, and SG Gaming Inc.
