Slow Bovada Payments Causing Concern Among Gamblers

This story was published more than 12 years ago.

Online casino, poker room, and sportsbook Bovada is causing concern for internet gamblers who are experiencing increasingly delayed payment processing time frames at the site leading to a belief that the problem isn't necessarily with payment processors.

Players began reporting delayed payments in December, shortly after the site separated from the Bodog brand to form the new Bovada wagering brand. Initially players were given a 7 day turnaround time to process payments. Since then payment processing times have increased to 15 days, 21 days, and then 25 business days: more than a calendar month.

Several gambling websites are reporting that Bovada is not even meeting the 25 day payment time, with users giving credible examples of payments taking more than 50 days to receive money from the site. The problem does not apply to just players either; many affiliates are claiming that Bovada is not paying them on time, either.

Bovada has not commented directly on the issue, and Casino Listings will keep this story updated to get the casino's side of the story.

This is very concerning. I did notice they have limited deposit and withdrawal options, but I do find it surprising that they are having such issues with getting payments out.

I would be careful if playing there for now.
