The Microgaming Poker Network will release its new rake offering on July 1st, dubbing the new product "True Value".
The True Value system is set to work by allocating player rake to poker operators by factoring in volume, activity, and win/loss ratio. It also places a higher value to players, making it more lucrative for poker sites to retain players.
True Value will be applied using a dual layer system, which places one rake method directly on top of another, working simultaneously and being supported by background data in the operator's software.
Commenting on her company's True Value product, Microgaming's Head of Poker Network Games Lydia Melton said: “What sets True Value apart from other networks’ solutions to the valuation problem is that it uses a dual layer system, which does not impact the players themselves. Any players earning rake-based promotions, like bonuses, will clear those promotions at the same rate on True Value as on the current method."
