Malta's online gambling regulating body the Lotteries and Gaming Authority has announced that it has suspended 5050Poker's operating license.

Earlier in the month 5050Poker had its Microgaming Poker Network software license suspended and then revoked due to what Microgaming cited as a breach of contract. 5050Poker alleged that Microgaming was treating the site unfairly by implementing new table restrictions.

Players who had a positive balance at 5050Poker do have options to receive their funds. The LGA announced that a complaints procedure in place and stands ready to assist players should the need arise.

The LGA had previously come under fire due to its slow reaction and lack of oversight in the wake of recent gambling site failures of Purple Lounge Casino and Everleaf Poker.
