UK newspaper The Daily Mail is reporting that gambling giant Ladbrokes has suspended the company's Director of Trading, adding that a probe into the executive's activities.
Jon Thompson, who is currently Ladbrokes' Director of Trading, is the target of the probe and suspension, although not many details are known at this time. For its part, Ladbrokes would not comment on the matter, with its only words on the issue being "This is an ongoing staff matter".
Thompson joined Ladbrokes in February of 2011 after spending time with the gambling firm Bodog, where he worked as the company's Global Head of Trading. At Ladbrokes Thompson's department handles the company's live betting, automation, organizational restructuring, trading, and customer profiling.
