A new RTG powered casino aimed at gamblers in South Africa has been launched; even though internet gambling is expressly prohibited within the country.
Spingbok Casino contains no information about whether it is licensed or who its owners are, although the site's servers are located in Curacao and the Promotions Manager Vanessa Abrahams is based in Johannesburg.
The casino is offering blackjack, baccarat, video poker and slot games and has a social presence with Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
Last year the court system in South Africa ruled that internet based gambling is illegal within the country, deciding that gambling took place on a punter's computer, not at the location of the casino's servers.
