A Joplin, Missouri man has plead guilty to a single count of transmitting wagering information over the internet after originally being charged with 16 counts of running an illegal online gambling operation earlier in the year.

Kenneth B. Lovett, 72, plead guilty to the single count in Springfield District Court last week after reaching a plea deal with federal prosecutors who alleged that he handled bets regarding NFL football games between 2003 and 2011.

He is currently awaiting sentencing for the crime.
